Kiwoom Heroes will hold a "Hero Day" event together with the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Kiwoom said on the 20th that "on the 22nd at 6:30 p.m. at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, during the home game against NC Dinos, we will hold a 'Hero Day' event together with the Seoul Metropolitan Government."
That day, under the theme "Together Seoul," the event will be organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship between San Francisco, USA, and Seoul, Republic of Korea. To this end, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and Steven Levetrier, president of San Francisco Giants Enterprises, will visit Gocheok Sky Dome.
During the game, gifts will be presented through inning events themed around the two cities.
The ceremonial first pitch that day will be thrown by Mayor Daniel Lurie. Mayor Daniel Lurie is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit Tipping Point and has served as San Francisco's 46th mayor since January 2025. The first pitch catcher will be Steven Levetrier, president of San Francisco Giants Enterprises. Steven Levetrier also serves as president of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
Mayor Daniel Lurie said, "As an avid fan of Lee Jung-hoo, I am very much looking forward to seeing the team he played for in person. As I did when I threw the ceremonial first pitch at the San Francisco Giants season opener last year, I want to show a good performance."
Meanwhile, the club plans to continue events under the theme "Hero Day" with various topics that highlight everyday unsung heroes and can coexist with the local community.
