Korea Baseball Softball Association (President Yang Hae-young) is publicly recruiting qualified coaches to lead the national baseball team to raise Korea's international competitiveness.
This recruitment is to select coaches to be dispatched to the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games to be held in Japan this year and the 6th U-23 Baseball World Cup to be held in Nicaragua in November; the number of recruits is two for the Asian Games and three for the World Cup, selecting a total of five coaches.
Qualifications require no disqualifying reasons under the association's national team selection and operation regulations, and applicants must have coaching experience in baseball and hold at least a level 2 professional sports instructor certificate. Detailed requirements include having at least two years of baseball coaching experience; holders of a doctorate in sports with at least one year of baseball coaching experience; or being an Olympic or Asian Games medalist in at least one event, any of which make one eligible to apply.
In particular, applicants for the Asian Games coaching positions must complete registration as an Asian Games candidate by the 20th, so pre-registration through the association's secretariat is mandatory before submitting application documents in order to register as a candidate.
The selection process will choose up to three times the number of recruits through first-round document screening, then determine the final successful candidates after evaluation by the performance improvement committee commissioners. Applications will be accepted until the 14th of next month and can be submitted by email, in person, or by mail.
