SSG Landers on the 8th signed a business agreement with Plus Orthopedic Clinic to be the team's designated hospital for the 2026 season.
Plus Orthopedic Clinic, located in Yeonsu District, Incheon, has served as SSG's official partner hospital since the 2021 season, providing full medical support to prevent player injuries and ensure early recovery. The partnership has now continued for six consecutive years.
Plus Orthopedic Clinic will provide comprehensive medical services so the team can perform at their best, including team imaging diagnostics (MRI) and regular health check support, dispatching an ambulance and emergency medical technicians for home games.
Yoo Dong-seok, director of Plus Orthopedic Clinic, who was appointed SSG's team doctor this year, said, "I am pleased to be able to accompany SSG for six years through this business agreement. We will provide optimal comprehensive medical services to help the team's performance this season as well."
This year, the scope of support is being further expanded. An ambulance and specialized medical staff will be stationed at all times for Futures League home games held at Ganghwa SSG Futures Field, strengthening the support system so that even development team players can receive rapid and professional medical services in emergencies. Plus Orthopedic Clinic pays special attention to players who are always at risk of injury while playing professional sports.
The clinic also pays attention to the safety of spectators visiting the ballpark. Plus Orthopedic Clinic operates a medical room inside the stadium (located in the central lobby) and will continue to provide first-aid services for fans.
SSG also renewed the agreement for the joint social contribution activity that has continued with Plus Orthopedic Clinic since the 2022 season, the "Home Run Plus+ Campaign." The "Home Run Plus+ Campaign" is a program in which, when an SSG player hits a home run, one person from the disadvantaged patient group in the Incheon area receives support for artificial joint surgery costs per home run, funded from the "Plus Orthopedic Clinic Home Run Zone" located in the center of the outfield at Incheon SSG Landers Field.
