KBO has confirmed Jamsil Stadium as the venue for the 2026 season All-Star Game.
KBO said on the 3rd, "on the 31st of last month it held the second board meeting of 2026 and discussed and finalized the 2025 settlement of account, the venue for the 2026 KBO All-Star Game, and other matters."
The venue for the 2026 KBO All-Star Game has been confirmed as Jamsil Baseball Stadium. With efforts to use an alternative stadium for Jamsil Baseball Stadium starting in 2027, the All-Star Game will be held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, where the final KBO League regular-season games of this season are played. Accordingly, on July 10 the Futures All-Star Game and the home run derby will be held, and the KBO All-Star Game is scheduled for July 11.
Jamsil Stadium opened in 1982 and was used as the home stadium of MBC Blue Dragons (now LG Twins) from the inaugural year of professional baseball. From 1985 OB Bears (now Doosan Bears) have also used Jamsil Stadium, and it remains the only stadium currently used as the home ground by two teams.
Jamsil Stadium, which has shared 45 years of professional baseball history from 1982 through this year, will say goodbye to fans after this year. As part of the 'Jamsil MICE project,' the Seoul Metropolitan Government is building Jamsil Dome Stadium with a target opening in 2032.
However, because a new dome stadium will be built directly on the current Jamsil Stadium site, Jamsil Stadium will be demolished after this season. LG and Doosan, which currently use Jamsil Stadium as their home ground, plan to use Seoul Olympic Stadium as an alternative stadium from next season until the opening of the Jamsil Dome Stadium.<
