FC Barcelona exploded offensively and routed Newcastle United. What began as a wild back-and-forth match tilted into a one-sided affair in the second half.
FC Barcelona defeated Newcastle 7-2 on the 19th (Korean time) at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain, in the second leg of the round of 16 of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League. Adding the 1-1 draw from the first leg, the aggregate score was 8-3 as they advanced to the quarterfinals.

Newcastle pulled one back in the 40th minute of the second half with a header from Aleksandar Mitrović, but it was not enough to change the momentum.
In the end, Barcelona piled on a flurry of goals in the second half to complete a 7-2 rout. Showing superior attacking power in the wild contest, Barcelona advances to the quarterfinals.
