Ulsan Whales have signed an official equipment sponsorship agreement with global premium sports brand "Spyder (SPYDER)" and are aiming to dominate the field in their inaugural season.
Under this contract, Ulsan Whales will receive authentic apparel, including uniforms that embody Spyder's high-performance technology. In particular, the club and Spyder agreed to create an environment that enables optimal performance through "technical cooperation," which actively incorporates players' feedback on fit and functionality experienced on the field into product manufacturing.
A Spyder Korea official said, "We are pleased to participate as the official partner of Ulsan Whales, which will bring new energy to the KBO League," and added, "We will continually improve Spyder's innovative technology by incorporating players' detailed feedback so they can perform at their best on the field and will spare no support."
Ulsan Whales Director General Kim Dong-jin said, "Joining with global brand Spyder as our official equipment partner was made possible by overwhelming sponsorship on a scale comparable to the league's major clubs, beyond simple supply of goods," and stressed, "I am confident this partnership will be a major driving force for our team to prove the strength of Ulsan baseball, and we will grow into a team that gives fans pride."
Official merchandise sales for fans will also be ramped up. On March 20, the home opener, the "Whales Store" opening at Munsu Baseball Stadium will offer not only authentic apparel completed with player feedback but also various cheering items and club goods. In particular, an on-site "marking zone" where fans can have a desired player's name and number immediately added will operate to enhance the viewing experience.
Meanwhile, Ulsan Whales' historic inaugural home opener will be held on the 20th at Munsu Baseball Stadium, and tickets can be purchased through Ticketlink.
