It was a hot draw.
Kia Tigers and KT Wiz went back and forth in a see-saw battle at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field on the 14th in the 2026 exhibition game, but the game ended in a 10-10 tie. KT produced 12 hits and 7 walks, and Kia also had 12 hits and 8 walks in a slugfest.
Yoon Do-hyun hit a two-run homer and a go-ahead two-base hit, and Park Min had three hits including a go-ahead two-RBI single. Shortstop Jerid Dale made a dazzling play, and he also recorded a hit, a walk and a sacrifice bunt in a clean performance. For KT, the presence of Kim Hyun-soo, who hit two doubles, shone. Bae Jeong-dae also hit a two-run blast.

Kia smiled first. When Dale reached on a single to left, Kim Ho-ryeong drew a walk and Castro was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Na Sung-beom hit an RBI single that fell in front of the center fielder, bringing in two runs. KT quickly answered with a big inning. With Neil's command shaky, they had a bases-loaded, no-out opportunity. A grounder to the pitcher by Jang Jin-hyeok produced one run, and on Kim Min-seok's double-play grounder they tied the game. Choi Won-joon hit an RBI single to left, and Kim Hyun-soo hit a double along the left-field line to make it 4-2.
In the third inning Kia hit a home run to even the score. When Na Sung-beom reached with a single to center, Yoon Do-hyun crushed Moon Yong-ik's fastball for a two-run shot that fell deep into center-right. KT did not back down and in the fifth inning, after two walks with two outs and runners on first and second, Heo Kyung-min hit a two-run double that flowed beside the left fielder to take a 6-4 lead.
KT extended the lead to 7-4 in the top of the sixth with Oh Yun-seok's RBI single to right with two outs and a runner on second. Kia responded with another big inning. After leadoff batter Han Jun-su drew a walk, Park Min answered with a double that hit the left-field wall. Lee Chang-jin struck out, but Jung Hyun-chang reached on a shortstop fielding error, and Kim Ho-ryeong and Castro followed with RBI hits to tie the game at 7-7.
Kia, riding momentum, flipped the game in the seventh. After Kim Seok-hwan drew a walk, Yoon Do-hyun hit a double off the left-field wall. Kim Kyu-seong and Joo Hyo-sang were limited to infield grounders, but Park Min drilled an RBI single between first and second to put Kia up 9-7. When Jung Hyun-chang reached again on a shortstop error, Park Jae-hyun hit an RBI single that got past the first baseman to add another run. KT stayed persistent. Bae Jeong-dae hit a two-run homer in the top of the eighth to chase, and Ahn Chi-young hit an RBI single in the ninth with two outs and runners on first and third to tie the game.
Kia starter Neil threw 65 pitches and worked 3 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits, three walks and four runs. He tested his two-seam, sweeper and changeup. His top speed was 149 km/h. Lee Tae-yang took the baton and threw 2 1/3 innings, allowing three hits, two walks, two strikeouts and three runs. Kim Ki-hoon closed out the seventh inning with a perfect frame. Han Jae-seung allowed two runs, and Jo Sang-woo yielded the tying run in the ninth.
Starter Moon Yong-ik threw 61 pitches over three innings, allowing four hits (one homer), four walks, three strikeouts and four runs. Park Geon-woo tossed one inning with one walk and no runs, and amateur-status Jang Min-ho pitched bravely, recording four outs but allowing one hit, one walk and three runs (two earned). Newly acquired left-hander Lim Joon-hyung gave up three hits and two walks and allowed three runs (two earned). Sugimoto used delicate command to shut down the eighth inning.
