In the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time, Amrabat delivered a cross from the right that Benjamin Šeško connected with a one-touch, direction-changing, instinctive shot for a dramatic equalizer. It was the moment United salvaged one point from the brink of defeat.
As a result, United failed in their bid for five straight league wins but maintained their position in the top-tier competition. West Ham, meanwhile, lost the chance to escape the relegation zone by conceding just before the end and failed to secure the victory.
United once again overcame a crisis with late-game concentration, but the defensive insecurity and finishing problems exposed throughout the match remained tasks. West Ham also had to swallow disappointment after failing to convert their performance into a result.
