Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC has signed a new partnership with Mobed, the robot platform of Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab, completing the largest uniform partner lineup in the club's history.
Under this agreement, the Jeonbuk Hyundai squad will add the Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab and Mobed logos below the official uniform numbers this season and compete in the K League and various official competitions. This is evaluated as the most expanded form among Jeonbuk Hyundai's uniform partnerships.
Jeonbuk Hyundai plans through this collaboration to bring the robotics vision and future mobility technologies that Hyundai Motor Group has presented on global stages such as CES closer to soccer fans. It is also interpreted as a symbolic attempt to connect sports and advanced technology.
Mobed is a small mobility robot platform developed by Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab. It is designed to enable stable driving on steps, slopes and uneven surfaces by applying an independently driven eccentric-based wheel structure. It is attracting attention as a platform that shows the potential for expanding robot technology beyond the concept of a means of transportation.
Artificial intelligence–based autonomous driving technology and sensor fusion systems are applied here, giving it potential uses in various industries such as logistics, services and entertainment. It is one of the core technologies of the next-generation robotics strategy that Hyundai Motor Group is pursuing.
Jeonbuk Hyundai is also considering collaboration programs that would allow fans to experience robotics technology firsthand through home games and offline events. The plan is to expand the partnership's value into fan-participation content beyond simple logo exposure.
Existing uniform partners, including Hyundai Motor Group's hydrogen business brand HTWO, the World Food Programme (WFP), Kumho Tire and Jeonbuk State, will continue their support this season. In addition, Hyundai Motor Securities and Naver's sports streaming platform CHZZK have newly joined, further strengthening the partner lineup.
A Jeonbuk Hyundai official said the partnership is a symbolic result showing that the club's brand value is steadily rising, and said they will work to provide fans with richer and more diverse experiences through cooperation with partner companies.
