Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, which issues Sports Toto sports promotion lottery tickets (Chairman Ha Hyung-ju), and trustee operator Korea Sports Leisure Co. announced that sales have begun for proto betting type 10 for the UEFA Europa League league phase matches held on Friday, Jan. 23.
This round selected a total of 18 matches, including Feyenoord vs. S. Graz, Fenerbahçe SK vs. A. Villa, Bologna vs. Celtic, AS Roma vs. Stuttgart, and Braga vs. Nottingham Forest. All Europa League matches will be held at 2:45 a.m. and 5 a.m. (KST).
Each match can be purchased in various game types such as match result, handicap, under/over, and SUM, and participation is possible through nationwide Sports Toto sales outlets and the official online sales site Bateman until 11 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22.
These matches correspond to matchday 7, which is in the latter part of the Europa League league phase, and are expected to have a considerable impact on the league phase standings.
After six league phase matches, Lyon, Midtjylland and Aston Villa occupy first through third place respectively, forming the top ranks. Meanwhile, teams from seventh through 21st place are clustered within a four-point range, creating a tight race, so the results of matchday 7 could greatly shake up direct playoff spots and qualifying berths.
With only matchday 8, the final match of the league phase, remaining after these games, various situational variables such as point calculations, fixture congestion and rotation strategies are expected to have a major impact on match outcomes rather than simple strength comparisons.
A Korea Sports Leisure official said, "The latter part of the league phase schedule is when each team's objectives for entering the playoffs become clearer," adding, "A strategic approach that comprehensively considers recent form and the ranking landscape is necessary."
