Seoul E-Land Group FC has signed a three-year contract extension with key midfielder Park Chang-hwan through 2028.
Seoul E-Land Group officially announced the re-signing with Park Chang-hwan through the club's official channels on the 1st. The term is three years.
Park Chang-hwan, who has recorded 111 K League appearances, 6 goals and 2 assists, is a midfielder whose strengths are quick transition between offense and defense based on abundant work rate and tenacious play. Relying on a high energy level, he is one of the players who best embodies the team color Seoul E-Land Group pursues and has been fulfilling the team's "housekeeping" role.
After attending Soongsil High School, Park Chang-hwan made his professional debut in 2021 with K League 1's Incheon United and played 33 matches over two years, earning recognition for his potential.
After transferring to Seoul E-Land Group in 2023, he continued steady growth with the team. He appeared in 22 matches in his first year with the club and played 32 matches in 2024, recording 1 assist and solidifying his position.
Serving as vice captain last year, he played in 24 matches and made a splash with 6 goals and 1 assist, establishing himself as an indispensable player for the team. He made a strong impression by scoring three goals in the first two months of the season and continued to contribute steadily after returning from injury.
In particular, in round 36 against Chungnam Asan, when the fierce playoff ranking battle was in full swing, he scored his first professional multi-goal game to lead the team to a 4-1 rout and earned the honor of being named his first round MVP.
Seoul E-Land Group agreed to extend the contract by three years through 2028 based on deep trust between the club and the player, despite Park Chang-hwan having one year remaining on his contract.
Park Chang-hwan said, "The club showed great trust and made a good offer, so I was able to choose to re-sign without hesitation. With the contract extended, my sense of responsibility for next year's promotion goal has grown. Building on what we achieved last year, I will make this season one that writes new history."
Meanwhile, Seoul E-Land Group will begin assembling the squad on the 2nd and depart for a training camp in Bangkok, Thailand on the 6th to officially begin preparations for the new season aiming for promotion.
