RNT rose to the top of the men's open division.
'NH Nonghyup Bank 2025-2026 KXO 3x3 Hongcheon STOP' was held on the 20th at the Hongcheon County National Sports Center in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. The tournament was held over two days across four categories: U15, U18, men's open division and KXO STOP.
The tournament, hosted by KXO (chairman Park Geon-yeon), was held with the support of Hongcheon County (county governor Shin Young-jae) and the Hongcheon County Sports Council (chairman Shin Eun-seop). In February, starting with KXO 3x3 Hongcheon STOP 1, KXO held six domestic tournaments and three international tournaments this year, and completed its 2025 schedule with this Hongcheon STOP.
The men's open division final was a matchup between RNT (Kim Gi-ung, Kim Sang-hoon, Son Seung-gi, Kim Kwang-ho) and Basketball Research Institute (Koo Hyun-seo, Choi Woo-young, Lee Geon-ha, Park Ji-min). RNT won 21-15 to take the championship trophy.
As befits a final, rough physical play continued. Players threw themselves at the ball. The two teams battled fiercely from the start at 6-6. RNT's ace Kim Sang-hoon and Kim Kwang-ho worked well together. Kim Gi-ung's outside shots and Son Seung-gi's drives also came through. RNT took a 16-9 lead.
With 1 minute 10 seconds remaining, in a situation where Basketball Research Institute trailed 13-19, Park Ji-min suffered an unexpected ankle injury. Park Ji-min was eventually removed from the game. Son Seung-gi's decisive layup clinched the title for RNT at 21-15.
Kim Gi-ung, who led RNT to the championship, received the honor of being named MVP.
