Kiwoom Heroes set a new club record for most attendance in a single season.
Kiwoom defeated the LG Twins 11-2 on the 9th at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome in the 2025 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League.
Starting pitcher Raul Alcantara earned his seventh win of the season with six innings, five hits, one walk, two strikeouts and two runs allowed. Reliever Park Jeong-hun followed with three innings, one strikeout and no runs allowed, preserving the team's victory and earning his first career save.
Kiwoom's lineup collected 12 hits and one home run. Im Ji-yeol hit his 11th home run of the season, and Uh Jun-seo went 3-for-4 with three hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. Song Seong-mun and Choi Joo-hwan also recorded multi-hit games to contribute.
Attendance for the game was 14,773, bringing Kiwoom's season total to 819,103. That surpasses last season's 808,350 and sets a new club record.
Despite finishing 10th in the league with a 42-4-85 record and a .331 winning percentage, Kiwoom has continued to set records related to fan interest. From June 24 against KIA through July 6 against Hanwha, the team recorded nine consecutive sellouts, setting a new record for most consecutive sellouts, and reached a total of 26 sellouts (Hanwha 9, KIA 6, Lotte 4, LG 3, Samsung 3, Doosan 1), breaking the single-season record for most sellout games.
Kiwoom's season average attendance stands at 12,225 and seat occupancy is 76.4%. With four remaining home games, the cumulative attendance is expected to rise.
A Kiwoom official said, "We deeply appreciate the fans' passionate support. The club record for most attendance in a single season was possible because of the fans' enthusiastic cheering. We will continue to do our best to create a pleasant viewing environment. We will carry out various marketing activities so more fans can enjoy diverse experiences at Gocheok Sky Dome."
Kiwoom acting manager Seol Jong-jin thanked fans after the game, saying, "Today many fans came to Gocheok Dome. Thank you. Winning on the day we surpassed Gocheok Dome's record for most attendance in a single season makes it even more meaningful. We will prepare well for tomorrow's game."
