A joint task force involving the professional baseball team NC Dinos, Changwon City, and the Changwon Facilities Corporation will operate a psychological support counseling center related to the NC Park structure accident at the Changwon NC Park East Gate ticket office (63 Samho-ro, Masanhyundong-gu, Changwon) starting on the 14th (Monday).

This measure aims to minimize the trauma of individuals experiencing psychological difficulties due to the accident, including families of victims, witnesses, and emergency responders.

The Changwon NC Park psychological support counseling center will be operated jointly by the task force and will provide counseling to visitors three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. To facilitate smooth counseling, two professional psychological counselors will be present at the counseling center during its operating period.

Visitors to the counseling center will receive psychological counseling based on the evaluation results of depression (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7), and post-traumatic stress (PC-PTSD) assessment scales. If classified as high-risk based on the diagnostic results, they will undergo a free registration process at the mental health center and may be referred to a hospital if necessary.

Free counseling is available with on-site visits without a separate reservation, and the expected duration is around 20 minutes. Visitors to the counseling center will be provided with a self-assessment application and QR code to periodically check their mental health status.

If visiting the counseling center is difficult, telephone counseling is available. Individuals can receive non-face-to-face counseling through the Mental Health Crisis Counseling service operated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (1577-0199), the Yeongnam Trauma Center (055-520-2777), or mental health centers in Changwon (055-225-6441), Masan (055-225-6031), and Jinhae (055-225-6391). The mental health crisis counseling is available 24 hours a day, while other telephone counseling is available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Anonymous counseling is also possible.

The Changwon NC Park psychological support counseling center plans to explore various options, including expanding the service based on the operation status during the month of April.
