Vietnam 'hero' coach Kim Sang-sik leads Southeast Asian stars to face Manchester United.
The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) officially announced that coach Kim Sang-sik (49), who led the Vietnamese national team to victory in the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup, will take the helm of the ASEAN All-Star team at the national stadium in Bukit Jalil, Malaysia, on May 28.
Accordingly, the All-Star team composed of the top stars from Southeast Asia, led by coach Kim, will hold a friendly match against Manchester United, one of the most popular clubs in the English Premier League (EPL). The ASEAN All-Star team will be selected from the 12 member countries of the AFF.
This matchup symbolizes a special event of unity among Southeast Asian countries through sports. At the same time, it is known that a donation campaign by the Malaysian charity organization Al Sultan Abdullah Foundation (YASA) will also be carried out.
