Masanyongma High School, Yatap High School, and Seoul High School showed impressive hitting ability in the 2025 Shinsegae Emart National High School Baseball Championship.
On the 7th, at Mokdong Baseball Stadium, the Korea Baseball Softball Association hosted and organized the 2025 Shinsegae Emart National High School Baseball Championship Round of 16, supported by Shinsegae Emart and Miryang City.
Masanyongma High School, Yatap High School, and Seoul High School all recorded more than 10 hits in the round of 16, winning and successfully advancing to the quarterfinals.
In the first game, Masanyongma High School's No Min-hyuk hit a home run in the 3rd inning, and Lee Seung-hyun hit a home run in the 5th inning against Yulgok High School's baseball team. Additionally, thanks to the pitcher's scoreless performance, they secured a 15-0 victory through a cold game in the 5th inning.
Yatap High School allowed the first run in the bottom of the 2nd inning, but thanks to infielder Jang Wang-hee's 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 5 RBIs and 1 run scored, they won 18-2 in a cold game in the 6th inning and advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the match between Seoul High School and Cheongwon High School, Seoul High School emerged victorious 9-7 after a close contest, securing the last spot in the quarterfinals for the day.
Seoul High School took the lead with 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning, but they surrendered a solo home run to Lee San in the 4th inning and fell behind 5-6 after allowing additional runs.
In the top of the 6th inning, Kim Myung-hyun's tying hit and Lee Jung-in's go-ahead hit regained the lead (7-6) for Seoul High School, but further scoring in the bottom of the 6th inning leveled the game.
In the top of the 7th inning with 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd base, Lee Hyun-jun's ground ball to the first baseman allowed the runner from 3rd base to dash home, giving Seoul High School a comeback (8-7). Seoul High School then added another run in the top of the 9th inning with Kim Tae-sung's sacrifice bunt (9-7). Seoul High School clinched their spot in the quarterfinals by stopping Cheongwon High School's final offense without allowing any runs in the bottom of the 9th.
Meanwhile, on the 8th, the 13th day of the tournament, Dongsan High School will clash with Baejae High School, Daegu High School will face Masan High School, and Chungam High School will battle Raon High School for a spot in the quarterfinals. All Round of 16 games will be broadcast live on the association's official YouTube channel, and from the quarterfinals, they will be aired through SPOTV.
