In the 2025 KLPGA Tour season's domestic opening event, the 'Doosan Construction We've Championship', Lee Ye-won (22, Mediheal) rapidly rose to 2nd place in the WEMIX point rankings.
Lee Ye-won secured victory with an 'eagle finish' on the 18th hole at the domestic opening event held at the Beneast Country Club in Dongnae, Busan, on the 6th, finishing one stroke ahead of 2nd place Hong Jeong-min with a total score of 12 under par 276.
Throughout the final round, Lee Ye-won fiercely competed against Hong Jeong-min and solidified her victory by successfully sinking an approximately 8m eagle putt on the final 18th hole. Lee noted, "My goal was to report my first win as quickly as possible at the start of the season, and I am honored to achieve this victory right at the domestic opening event."
With this victory, Lee Ye-won acquired 80 points in the KLPGA Wemade Daesang points and 580 WEMIX points, climbing to 1st in the Wemade Daesang points and 2nd in the WEMIX point rankings. Currently, the leader in the WEMIX points is Park Bo-kyum, who won the season's first tournament, the Blue Canyon Ladies Championship, and ranked 14th in this event.
Additionally, Park Bo-kyum was selected as the KLPGA Wemade Daesang points MVP for March. Park noted, "I will not rest on my laurels and will strive to show better performances this season."
Wemade Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Kwan-ho) has been the official naming partner for the KLPGA Tour Daesang points record category since 2023, awarding the monthly excellent player 1 million won each month and offering a bonus of 20 million won to the Wemade Daesang award winners at the end of the season.
The 'Race to WEMIX Championship' is a points system designed to determine the best player who shone throughout a KLPGA Tour season, awarding WEMIX points based on the ranking points and Wemade Daesang points accumulated from the final results of each KLPGA Tour event, determining the final ranking based on the accumulated points for the season.
