Coupang Play will live stream all matches of the South Korea national football team under 17 (U17) as they aim to reclaim the top spot in Asia after 23 years.

Coupang Play will showcase all matches of South Korea in the '2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U17 Asian Cup' held in Saudi Arabia from April 4 to 20.

South Korea, which is in Group C of the group stage, will face Indonesia on the 4th at 11:50 p.m., Afghanistan on the 8th at 2:15 a.m., and Yemen on the 11th at 2:15 a.m.

The U17 Asian Cup, featuring 16 Asian countries, serves as the Asian qualifier for the 'Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) U17 World Cup.' Starting this year, the number of World Cup tickets available has increased from four to eight. Reaching the quarterfinals guarantees a spot in the World Cup, so the national team is determined to secure their World Cup qualification early and build momentum for victory.

This Asian Cup is a challenge for the U17 national team to win for the first time in 23 years. South Korea has won twice, in 1986 and 2002. In the previous tournament held in 2023, they faced Japan in the final and unfortunately finished as runners-up. Yang Min-hyuk, who is on loan to Queens Park Rangers after joining Premier League's Tottenham, and Yoon Do-young, who recently joined Brighton, were key players in the 2023 runner-up finish.

Another highlight is discovering promising talents who will lead the K League and the national team in the future. The U17 national team, led by head coach Baek Ki-tae, has 20 out of 23 players affiliated with K League youth teams. Key players include the captain Koo Hyun-min (Incheon U18), Kim Ye-geon (Jeonbuk U18), and Kim Ji-sung (Suwon Samsung U18), who have been pivotal since the Asian Cup qualifiers last year. Just as Yang Min-hyuk and Yoon Do-young transitioned to Europe after their U17 Asian Cup performances from the youth teams of K League Gangwon and Daejeon respectively, this tournament is expected to be a valuable opportunity to discover talents capable of making a leap to the global stage.

Coupang Play will vividly convey the challenges of South Korea's young football stars with commentators Lim Hyung-cheol and Hwang Deok-yeon, along with caster Kim Yong-nam. The two commentators, combining youthful perspectives and expertise, will provide deep analysis of the next-generation talents' plays, enhancing the enjoyment of watching the matches.

Commentator Hwang Deok-yeon noted, "This is the first step for 'youth expert' head coach Baek Ki-tae to aim for the global stage. If we clear the group stage, the World Cup is within reach, so the Asian Cup is just a process," expressing high expectations for the U17 national team. Commentator Lim Hyung-cheol mentioned, "I'm looking forward to the performance of the midfield trio 'Park Byeong-chan (Daejeon U18), Kim Ye-geon, and Kim Ji-sung,' who have been in sync in age-group national teams. Kim Eun-seong, a forward selected from a high school football team, is a dark horse among the mostly K League youth team members on the national team."

Meanwhile, Coupang Play will provide live streaming and replays, as well as highlights of the matches of the South Korea national team in this U17 Asian Cup, along with broadcasts of all age-group Asian Cup matches organized by the AFC.
