LG's 5.2 billion won free agent Jang Hyun-sik has completed his rehab from injury and joined the first-team squad on the 3rd.
Ahead of the '2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League' game between the KT Wiz and the LG Twins, which will be held at KT Wiz Park in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Jang Hyun-sik joined the first-team squad and warmed up in the outfield to enhance his condition.
Jang Hyun-sik joined the squad after completing rehab and improving his game sense in the Futures League after sustaining an ankle injury during spring camp.
LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeob noted on the 28th during an away game in Changwon that "Jang Hyun-sik will pitch again next week, and it's probably better for him to pitch in Jamsil rather than Suwon, in a wider space," referring to the timing of his return to the first team.
Manager Yeom stated on the 2nd at KT Wiz Park in Suwon about Jang Hyun-sik's return date, "He will join the first team for training tomorrow. The entry registration is planned for Friday," and added, "His velocity has reached 145 km/h, so I expect he will reach over 148 km/h when he pitches in the first team. I plan to throw one game comfortably, assess how that game goes, and decide whether to go for a finish individually or as a group."
