Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders won the important championship final Game 1.

Heungkuk Life secured a shutout victory against Jeongkwanjang Red Sparks with a set score of 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-19) in Game 1 of the ‘Dodram 2024-2025 V-League’ championship final held at Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium on the 31st.

Kim Yeon-koung scored 16 points (60.9% attack success rate), making her the top scorer on the team. Tutku Burcu also contributed with 14 points (41.9%). Jeong Yoon-joo (13 points), Anilis Peach (8 points), Kim Su-ji (4 points), Lee Go-eun (2 points), Choi Eun-ji (2 points), and Park Su-yeon (1 point) also helped out.

Jeongkwanjang's Mega Watty Puertiwi (13 points) and Banya Bukirich (17 points) combined for 30 points, but could not prevent the team's defeat. Byun Seung-joo (6 points), Jeong Ho-young (6 points), Park Eun-jin (4 points), and Yeom Hye-sun (1 point) could not support the two foreign players.

The early flow of the first set was very tight. Jeongkwanjang led 4-2, but Heungkuk Life quickly turned it around to 5-4. The score remained close, reaching 16-16, but Heungkuk Life began to assert itself in the latter half of the set, maintaining its lead. Jeongkwanjang's Bukirich (7 points) and Mega (5 points) combined for 12 points, but could not maintain the early momentum.

In the second set, Jeongkwanjang took the early initiative, leading 8-5 and earning the first technical timeout. Jeongkwanjang held the lead until the second technical timeout, but in the latter half of the set, Heungkuk Life mounted a strong counterattack. Leading 19-18, Heungkuk Life pressured Jeongkwanjang with Kim Kyung-kyung and Tutku, and ultimately, Tutku scored the final point to secure the second set.

Kim Yeon-koung (6 points) and Tutku (6 points) combined for 12 points to lead the Heungkuk Life attack. Peach (2 points), Choi Eun-ji (2 points), Jeong Yoon-joo (2 points), Kim Su-ji (2 points), and Lee Go-eun (1 point) also contributed scores. Jeongkwanjang's Mega scored 6 points (44.4% attack success rate) alone, but Bukirich struggled with 2 points (20.0% attack success rate).

Having gained the momentum, Heungkuk Life took the lead from the start of the third set and smoothly continued the game. They ultimately finished with a shutout victory.
