Jamie O'Hara (39), known for criticizing Son Heung-min, recently revealed his situation.

Tottenham legend Jamie O'Hara appeared on the 'Grossbener Sport' broadcast to criticize Son Heung-min. He said, "I really hate to say this, but Son Heung-min is no longer a fitting captain for the current team. Son Heung-min is a fantastic player and has dedicated himself to the club. However, he is not stepping up in the current challenging situation for the team," thereby belittling Son Heung-min.

O'Hara's remarks were also reported by the Korean media. Many Korean fans who saw this were outraged. Korean fans flocked to O'Hara's social media, leaving many comments, most of which expressed anger over his words.

O'Hara went even further. He noted, "Recently, many Korean fans left comments on my social media. They said Son Heung-min should no longer be the captain or a leader and that he needs to be replaced. Son was world-class, but he is no longer. He has lost pace and is not the same as before. He is not creating anything anymore," maintaining his position.

O'Hara has truly become unpopular. Son Heung-min did not pay him any mind and repaid with his skills. In the subsequent match against Ipswich Town, Son Heung-min spectacularly tallied multiple assists. With a total of 71 assists in Tottenham, Son Heung-min is the undisputed top assister for the club. Son Heung-min became the first player in Tottenham history to join the 70-70 club.

Even the British media, unable to bear it, demanded O'Hara to exercise restraint. British journalist Henry Winter said, "There are those who think Son Heung-min is no longer a young player and is regressing. However, in my view, Son Heung-min does not look like that. The Tottenham defense was terrible, but Son Heung-min was tremendous. He assisted two goals to Johnson," thereby praising Son Heung-min.

O'Hara recently shared his situation on social media. He posted a photo of himself kissing his girlfriend, Kaija, saying he is engaged. O'Hara expressed, "I proposed, and she accepted. I am lucky to have found a lovely woman. My mother will also be proud of me," as he celebrated.

O'Hara played as a midfielder for Tottenham from 2005 to 2011. He was certainly not a good enough player to criticize Son Heung-min.

O'Hara only managed 2 goals in 34 appearances for Tottenham. Throughout most of his career at Tottenham, he was loaned to as many as four teams and hardly played for Tottenham. The term Tottenham legend does not even suit him.

O'Hara recorded 23 goals in 261 Premier League matches. This is the same record as when Son Heung-min became the top scorer in 2022. Such a person harshly criticized Son Heung-min as a commentator.
