FC Anyang manager Yoo Byeong-hoon pledged to achieve victory.

Anyang will face Jeonbuk Hyundai in the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 Round 6 at Anyang Sports Complex on the 30th.

The two teams had about a two-week period of reorganization during the A-match break due to the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup.

Jeonbuk, having played 5 matches, is in 10th place with 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses, earning 5 points. Anyang (2 wins, 3 losses, 6 points) is currently in 9th place, one step above.

Anyang achieved a miraculous victory against Ulsan HD with a dramatic header from Motta at the end of the opening match, but then suffered consecutive losses in rounds 2 to 4. In Round 5, they succeeded in bouncing back by defeating Daegu 1-0. After their promotion to K League 1, Anyang has scored in 5 consecutive matches and is challenging for their first winning streak against Jeonbuk.

Manager Yoo Byeong-hoon met with reporters before the match and noted, "Jeonbuk is a strong team. They often try to pressure aggressively. Therefore, we prepared to exploit the space that opens up at the back through Choi Seong-beom."

He also explained, "Over the past two and a half weeks, we have been working to change our style of play. The half-space defense was previously handled by the midfielders, which caused significant fatigue. We aimed to adjust this part."

Regarding offensive development, he said, "There was a tendency for the attack to lean toward Motta. To mitigate this, we have prepared various attacking routes."

Finally, coach Yoo emphasized, "Although Jeonbuk is currently ranked low, they are still a strong team. We must not be complacent. We need to maintain concentration on both offense and defense until the end of the match."
