Doosan has announced its starting lineup to face Samsung's homegrown ace Won Tae-in.

The Doosan Bears are preparing for their season's second game against the Samsung Lions in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, which will take place at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium on the 29th.

The previous day's game ended with a 2-0 victory for Doosan. Ace Cole Irvin achieved his first win of the season with a strong performance, pitching 7 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts, and no earned runs on 87 pitches, while the batting lineup saw Kang Seung-ho, who came to bat with 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the 3rd inning, hitting a 2-RBI triple to secure the victory.

Samsung's ace Ariel Hurado endured misfortune despite a strong effort, pitching 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk, 11 strikeouts, and 2 earned runs on 99 pitches.

Doosan has assembled a starting lineup of Kim Min-seok (left fielder), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (third baseman), Jake Cave (right fielder), Yang Eui-ji (catcher), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Park Jun-young (shortstop), Lee Yoo-chan (second baseman), and Jung Soo-bin (center fielder) to secure their first consecutive wins of the season and an early weekend winning series. It is the same lineup as the previous day.

The starting pitcher is the second starter, Jack Logan. After making his debut on the 23rd against the Incheon SSG Landers, where he pitched 6 innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts, and 4 earned runs, he rested for five days. This will be his first appearance at home after only pitching at Daegu and Gocheok in exhibition games.

In response, Samsung played the card of homegrown ace Won Tae-in. Won Tae-in, who suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth game of the Korean Series last year, focused on rehabilitation. He did not participate in exhibition games, ensuring he was fully recovered, and on the 23rd, he made an appearance in the Futures League against the Hampyeong KIA Tigers, pitching 3 innings, allowing 2 hits (1 home run), 1 walk, 5 strikeouts, and 1 earned run on 50 pitches in his final mock exam.

Last year against Doosan, he showed a strong performance with 2 wins and 1 loss in 3 games, with an earned run average of 2.84.
