The wildfire, which started in Uiseong on the 22nd, has spread to Sangcheon, Uiseong, Uljin, Hadong, Muju, and Andong due to strong winds, with the affected area estimated to be 31,000 hectares.
This is about half the area of Seoul (60,520 hectares) and more than 100 times the area of Yeouido.
