LG Twins are challenging for their fifth consecutive win.

LG will face the Hanwha Eagles in the third match of the season at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 27th. LG aims for a clean sweep against Hanwha in the three-game series while pursuing a five-game winning streak.

LG's starting lineup includes Hong Chang-ki (right fielder), Moon Sung-joo (left fielder), Austin (first baseman), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Kim Hyun-soo (designated hitter), Lee Joo-heon (catcher), Lee Joo-heon (catcher), Park Hae-min (center fielder), and Shin Min-jae (second baseman).

Manager Yeom Kyung-yup noted during an interview the previous day, "To give starting catcher Park Dong-won some rest, I plan to start Lee Joo-heon during the fifth start occasion of Song Seung-ki." Lee Joo-heon will be making his second start since debuting on Sept. 26 last year against Kiwoom at Jamsil. Park Dong-won, who is excluded from the starting lineup, will be on standby as a pinch hitter.

Hanwha's starting pitcher is Moon Dong-joo. After not getting sufficient pitching in the exhibition matches, Moon Dong-joo plans to pitch about 50 pitches over three innings.

LG's starting pitcher is Song Seung-ki. Drafted 87th overall in the 9th round of the 2021 draft, Song Seung-ki returned after completing military service last year and this year has been named as the fifth starter.

Last year, while at Sangmu, he recorded 11 wins and 4 losses with an earned run average of 2.41 and struck out 121 batters, achieving a triple crown in wins, ERA, and strikeouts. This will be his return match after military discharge. In the first team stage, he recorded 1 loss with an earned run average of 4.82 over 8 games (9⅓ innings) from 2022 to 2023. In this year's exhibition matches, he recorded 3 earned runs over 4⅓ innings in 2 games, with an earned run average of 4.15.
