The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee signed an official sponsorship renewal with Naver Corporation on the 27th at the Grand Hyatt Seoul and decided to conduct marketing collaboration for Team Korea at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee and Naver extended their sponsorship contract until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics based on their successful marketing collaboration at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics. Accordingly, Naver will gain rights to use the ▲Korean Sport & Olympic Committee emblem and official sponsor title ▲market using intellectual property such as the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee and Team Korea emblem as well as the national representative athletes ▲the rights to collaborate on marketing for the National Sports Festival, and through this, both sides plan to carry out various marketing activities.

Naver has been creating an environment where national representative athletes can receive support from the public by operating an Olympic special page that cheers for the Korean athletes at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics. With this sponsorship contract renewal, Naver will continue the collaboration on support content at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

In particular, Naver plans to carry out various collaborations to enhance the awareness of domestic sports competitions. They aim to expand the ‘#DirectWatchChallenge campaign’ conducted at the 105th National Sports Festival to the National Youth Sports Festival and the National Lifestyle Sports Festival to increase interest in competitions held in Korea.

Chairman Yoo Seung-min noted, “It was a very meaningful collaboration to be able to introduce the national representative athletes of Korea participating in the Olympics together with Naver,” and added, “We will actively collaborate with Naver so that athletes participating in domestic competitions beyond international competitions can also become well known.”

Lee Jae-hoo, head of the institutional sector at Naver, said, “I feel very meaningful that users can directly see and enjoy various sports events and build the foundation for a virtuous cycle of sports ranging from professional sports to lifestyle sports,” and added, “I expect that the partnership between Naver and the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, which has continued since 2007, will last for another four years and become even more solid.”
