Including world-class athletes, over 200 players from 18 countries will participate

Medalists from the 2024 Paris Paralympics will compete fiercely for the championship trophy

The '29th Daegu Open International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament' (hereafter referred to as Daegu Open), co-hosted by the Daegu Metropolitan City Disabled Sports Association (Chairman Hong Joon-pyo) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF), will be held from the 1st to the 5th of next month at the Universiade Tennis Center and Duryu Tennis Center.

For a successful tournament, the ITF and the Daegu Metropolitan City Disabled Sports Association are the hosts, while the Korea Disabled Tennis Association, Daegu Metropolitan City Disabled Tennis Association, Daegu Metropolitan City, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and Korea Disability Sports Association provide support.

Now in its 29th year, the Daegu Open is a representative international wheelchair tennis tournament for South Korea, enhancing the region's stature. It has established itself as a historic and traditional international disability sports event recognized for providing athletes with important ranking points.

This tournament, classified as ITF Series 1, will feature over 200 world-class athletes from 18 countries, including medalists from the 2024 Paris Paralympics, and a total of 53 athletes from the domestic team will also participate. In particular, 8 representatives from our city will compete against world-class athletes.
