The Korea Sports Council will hold the inauguration ceremony for Yoo Seung-min, the 42nd President of the Korea Sports Council, on the 27th in Seoul.
This inauguration ceremony serves as a starting point for opening a new era for the Korea Sports Council and sports in South Korea, and will be held under the catchphrase "Opening a New Era for KSOC!" The event is expected to be attended by around 800 representatives from sports organizations, the government, the National Assembly, local governments, national representatives, media outlets, and sponsors.
The event will proceed in the following order: ▲ Opening, ▲ Introduction of guests, ▲ Inaugural address and congratulatory remarks, ▲ Commitment to a new sports era, ▲ Dinner.
During the "Commitment to a new sports era" segment, President Yoo Seung-min, Secretary General Kim Na-mi, and Athletes' Village Chief Kim Taek-soo will represent the Korea Sports Council's executives and staff to take an oath for a new leap in South Korean sports and to create a clean sports environment.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, President Yoo Seung-min noted, "I will do my best to ensure that all athletes can take pride in their roles, holding a sense of responsibility as the President of the Korea Sports Council," and added, "As the international sports community is also entering a new era, I will strive to awaken the immense potential and capabilities of South Korean sports to leap even higher."
Meanwhile, the inauguration ceremony will begin with a moment of silence to mourn the victims of wildfires, and the event will be simplified without congratulatory performances or toasts. In particular, instead of congratulatory wreaths, donated rice will be given to support the relief and recovery of victims in areas affected by the wildfires.
With the launch of the new executive, the Korea Sports Council plans to strengthen communication and consensus with relevant institutions, including the government, National Assembly, and local governments, as well as solidify cooperation with affiliated organizations such as sports organizations, sponsors, and media outlets. This initiative aims to actively pursue innovative tasks in the sports sector, including President Yoo Seung-min's pledges.
