Doosan Construction (CEO Lee Jeong-hwan) announced on the 25th, "We will hold the KLPGA Tour 'Doosan Construction We’ve Championship' from April 3 for four days at Busan Dongnae Benest Golf Club." The 'Doosan Construction We’ve Championship,' now in its 3rd edition, will be held in Busan for the first time in 18 years as the KLPGA Tour domestic opening event.

Generally, event organizers generate revenue by installing advertisement boards on the course, but the PGA Masters, one of the four major tournaments in the world, does not install advertisement boards so that players and spectators can focus on golf. The 'Doosan Construction We’ve Championship' is characterized by a bold decision not to install advertisement boards for the first time in KLPGA history, allowing players to perform at their best and providing spectators with a more pleasant experience.

This tournament will feature Shin Ji-ae, a legend of Korean women's professional golf with a total of 65 wins, along with all players ranked within the top 60 in the KLPGA prize money rankings for the 2024 season.

In particular, Busan, the marine capital of South Korea where the domestic opening event will take place, is an area of significance for Doosan Construction. Doosan Construction has supplied approximately 17,000 residential units in Busan, including Haeundae Doosan We’ve the Zenith (the tallest at 80 floors, 300m), and plans to supply an additional 4,000 units this year. Through this tournament, the company aims to further enhance its brand value in the Busan area.

Doosan Construction has also prepared special benefits for residents of the We’ve and Zenith brand apartments during the tournament. Residents among the spectators will receive coupons for Illy Coffee and fried chicken from 'Fried Chicken Done Well' that can be used at the event venue. Doosan Construction regularly offers differentiated experiences to residents through fan signings and golf lessons conducted by the golf team.

Doosan Construction has made a unique effort for environmentally friendly tournament operations. They have implemented a mobile entry system to minimize paper usage, and with no advertisement boards, there is also an expected reduction in waste generated after the tournament. Additionally, shuttle buses are being operated from 'Namsan Station' on Busan Metro Line 1, actively encouraging spectators to use public transportation.

Moreover, in celebration of its 65th anniversary, Doosan Construction will carry out meaningful social contribution activities. They plan to donate 6.5% of the ticket sales and, for every tee shot that lands in the We’ve Zone established on the 10th hole of the tournament course, accumulate 500,000 won (up to 20 million won) to be given to the local community. They will also conduct a 'Wear & Share' campaign, promoting the idea of 'practicing sharing merely by wearing,' and all proceeds from the sale of player support T-shirts produced through this campaign will be used for various charitable activities.

A representative of Doosan Construction noted, "As our Haeundae Doosan We’ve the Zenith has established itself as a representative residential facility in Busan, we hope that the 'Doosan Construction We’ve Championship' will also become a representative sports event in Busan." They added, "Through this tournament, we hope players can showcase their maximum abilities and it will be a festival that golf fans can enjoy together, and we ask for much support and attention."
