The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, led by Chairman Ha Hyung-joo, reported on the 23rd that it held the "Gwangmyeong SpeeDom Tidying Walking Event."
Tidying Walking is an environmental protection and health promotion activity that involves collecting trash while walking. More than 80 employees from the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and its subsidiary, Korea Sports Industry Development, voluntarily participated in this event.
Participants were divided into two groups and began their efforts at the Gwangmyeong SpeeDom Pedal Lee & Ko, walking through the Gwangmyeong SpeeDom and nearby walking paths, as well as the Mokgamcheon waterway to carry out environmental cleanup activities.
Meanwhile, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation established an integrated solar power generation facility in the Gwangmyeong SpeeDom last year and began its operation this year. It is also gradually replacing over 740 lighting fixtures at the Misa Regatta Park with high-efficiency lighting as part of various facility improvements for environmental protection and carbon neutrality.
It was noted that this year they plan to continue eco-friendly and carbon-neutral activities in the employees' daily lives, including donating unused items and creating eco-friendly bags by utilizing waste banners.
