LG won 10-2 in the second game of the 2025 KBO League against Lotte held at Jamsil Stadium on the 23rd, exploding for 13 hits, including 5 home runs.
Moon Bo-kyung seized the momentum with a two-run homer in the 1st inning. After hitting two consecutive two-run homers in the 1st inning, he became the leader in home runs. In the 2nd inning, Park Dong-won hit a solo home run, followed by solo home runs from Austin in the 5th and Song Chan-eui in the 6th, putting LG ahead 5-0.
Starting pitcher Son Joo-young allowed only 1 hit through 7 innings, achieving a perfect game with 5 strikeouts and no runs against the Lotte lineup. Notably, from the 3rd inning with 2 outs and a runner on second to the 7th, he had a streak of 13 consecutive batters without a hit. LG faced a bases-loaded crisis with no outs in the top of the 8th inning, but Kim Jin-seong came in and limited Lotte's rally to just 1 run. Third baseman Moon Bo-kyung made a diving catch on Son Ho-young's hit ball with two outs and the bases loaded.
In the bottom of the 8th inning, LG extended their lead to 10-1 with a two-RBI triple from Koo Bon-hyuk and a two-run homer from Moon Jung-bin. In the 9th, Kim Gang-ryul, making his season debut, gave up 1 run.
