Tottenham is reportedly considering the signing of Danish winger Gustav Isaksen (23, Lazio).

According to British media outlet 'TeamTalk', citing Italy's 'TV Play', "Tottenham is monitoring Isaksen as they seek to strengthen their attacking line ahead of the 2025-2026 season."

He wears the Lazio uniform in Italy's Serie A and has participated in 39 games this season, recording 5 goals and 5 assists. Tottenham is said to be preparing a transfer fee of around €40 million (approximately 58.4 billion won).

Isaksen primarily plays on the right flank and has a style that cuts in centrally. As a versatile player capable of operating on both sides, if he transfers to Tottenham, he is expected to compete with Son Heung-min, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, and Mikey Moore in the attack line.

TeamTalk noted that if Isaksen joins, Johnson, who is likely to see reduced playing time, could return to his 'home team' Nottingham Forest.

The key to the transfer hinges on Lazio securing a replacement. Lazio is seeking to acquire Federico Chiesa from Liverpool as a condition for sending Isaksen away. Liverpool has put Chiesa on the market for €15 million (approximately 21.9 billion won). If the acquisition of Chiesa goes through, the likelihood of Lazio selling Isaksen will increase.

Isaksen, born in 2001, began his professional career at Danish club Midtjylland. After playing over 100 games in his domestic league, he joined Lazio in 2023. He struggled to adapt in his first season but has emerged as a regular under coach Marco Baroni this season. Notably, he showcased his competitiveness in Italy by scoring in two consecutive matches against Napoli.

He has also made his presence felt in the national team, scoring goals against Switzerland and Spain in the UEFA Nations League.
