Harry Kane secured Thomas Tuchel's first win as coach in international matches.

The England national team defeated Albania 2-0 in the '2024-2025 North and Central America World Cup European Qualifiers Group K Matchday 1' held at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on the 22nd at 4:45 a.m. (Korea time).

Thomas Tuchel achieved his debut victory with the England national team. Harry Kane increased his total number of goals in international matches to 70.

Luis Skelly scored the opening goal in the 20th minute of the first half by finishing a pass from Jude Bellingham with a left-footed shot. In the 32nd minute of the second half, Kane scored the insurance goal with Declan Rice's assist.

Kane is the all-time leader with 70 goals in 104 international matches. He has scored 17 more goals than Wayne Rooney, who is in second place with 53 goals. Bobby Charlton is in third place with 49 goals.

Kane surpassed Rooney with his 54th international goal in March 2023. Since then, Kane has added 16 more goals in just two years, reaching the landmark of 70 goals.

Among active players, only three European players have more international goals than Kane: Cristiano Ronaldo (135 goals), Romelu Lukaku (86 goals), and Robert Lewandowski (85 goals).
