GS Caltex achieved a successful conclusion.

GS Caltex secured a victory against Heungkuk in the final match of the Dodram 2024-2025 V-League on the 20th at Jangchung Gymnasium with a set score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-21).

Although this season was far from spring volleyball, the team recorded 5 wins and 1 loss in just the 6th round. The final season record was 12 wins and 24 losses, finishing in 6th place. Heungkuk confirmed the regular season championship early, securing a ticket to the championship match.

It was not a game played with the best lineup. After the first set, both teams gave opportunities to players who had not played much. Heungkuk needed to manage the stamina of key players and prevent injuries ahead of the championship match, and GS Caltex aimed to ensure a promising future.

In the first set, foreign player Silva recorded 7 points with an attack success rate of 58.33%. She showcased her power as the top attacker in the women’s V-League up to the final match. GS Caltex hopes to re-sign Silva. If Silva wishes to continue playing in the V-League, the team plans to retain her. A representative noted, "It’s positive."

Amid Silva's contributions, Kwon Min-ji, Yoo Seoyun, and Oh Se-yeon scored in the first set. In the second set, Lee Joo-a recorded 6 points with an attack success rate of 55.56%. Kim Mi-yeon scored 4 points, and Seo Chae-won scored 3 points.

In the third set, Kim Joo-hyang and Kim Mi-yeon each scored 6 points, both achieving an attack success rate of 45.45%. Rookie Lee Joo-a scored 2 points, and Choi Yu-rim also scored 2 points. The team wrapped up the season evenly on the court.

GS Caltex's starting libero Han Su-jin participated in the first set, marking her appearance in every game this season. Park Woo-cheol, GS Caltex's coach, praised Han Su-jin's passion this season. Coach Park said, "She is a player who worked really hard. Well done. Moreover, she played in every game," and added, "During the off-season, she worked to maintain her 'feel'. As a result, she had a lot of training, and that effort paid off."

Han Su-jin ranked 3rd in reception, 3rd in digs, and 2nd in defense. She achieved the results of her hard work. This season brought benefits not only for Han Su-jin but also for GS Caltex. It became a season where the growth of rookie outsider hitter Lee Joo-a, born in 2006, and middle blocker Oh Se-yeon, born in 2002, who will take responsibility for the team's midfield in the future, was confirmed.

A representative acknowledged, "The growth of Han Su-jin, as well as Oh Se-yeon and Lee Joo-a, is a benefit."

GS Caltex is looking to retain the reliable foreign attacker Silva. While there is a need to recruit other attacking options during the upcoming off-season, the team can expect a rebound next season as they have confirmed the growth of Oh Se-yeon, libero Han Su-jin, and Lee Joo-a.
