The Korea Football Association said on the 20th, "We have prepared three major innovative plans for transparent administration, upright administration, and responsible administration."
Among the three innovative plans, the first, "transparent administration," aims to implement open governance at the Korea Football Association and consists of five proposals: ▲ expanding the electoral body ▲ strengthening the professionalism of the board of directors ▲ enhancing management disclosures ▲ establishing an external cooperation office ▲ introducing a spokesperson. KFA explained, "This plan is to expand the number of voters in the presidential election through amendments to regulations such as the articles of incorporation and to introduce a personnel recommendation system through various external professional organizations in the composition of the board. Additionally, it aims to institutionalize transparent management disclosures by making disclosures mandatory at a level comparable to that of public companies. The external cooperation office will be established to enhance collaboration with subordinate organizations and related agencies, and a spokesperson system will be introduced to improve information delivery and communication." The second innovative plan, "upright administration," is aimed at implementing administration that complies with laws and regulations and includes plans for ▲ re-evaluating regulations and promoting integration with administrative procedures ▲ establishing and executing a plan for compliance with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's improvement requests ▲ establishing a compliance office to strengthen internal audit capabilities. The third innovative plan is "responsible administration," which aims to strengthen the administrative expertise of the association as the control tower of Korean football, including ▲ strengthening the functions of standing committees, such as organizational restructuring ▲ establishing a dedicated team for raising the grassroots and amateur levels ▲ creating a support team for the 2026 North America World Cup. In particular, the standing committees plan to establish a structure that allows professional standing committees in technology, competitions, referees, and other specialized fields to make independent decisions.
These three major innovative plans are to be reported at the next general assembly of delegates.
KFA stated, "This innovative plan, prepared to implement advanced administration, will be reviewed and reported at the next general assembly of the Korea Football Association before the detailed plans begin to be applied to the association's administration."
The next general assembly of delegates is scheduled to be convened after the elected person of the 55th Korea Football Association presidential election receives approval from the Korea Sports Council.
