Winger Yang Min-hyeok (19), who plays for Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in the English second division, has been named among the top 50 teenage football prospects in the world.

British outlet Goal.com announced on the 18th (Korean time) the 'NXGN 2025' list spotlighting prospects born after January 1, 2006. Yang Min-hyeok was ranked 43rd. NXGN is short for 'next generation' and is a list that evaluates young players who are gaining global attention.

The outlet introduced Yang Min-hyeok as a right winger, emphasizing that he originally belonged to Tottenham Hotspur but is currently on loan at QPR.

It noted, "The connection between Tottenham and Korea is well known due to Son Heung-min (Tottenham)," and assessed that "Yang Min-hyeok, who signed with Tottenham last July, has the potential to follow in Son Heung-min's footsteps."

Yang Min-hyeok, who officially became a Tottenham player in January, was loaned to QPR at the end of that month. He made his debut in a match against Millwall on February 2 (loss 1-2) and recorded his first assist as a starter in the match against Derby County on February 15 (win 4-0). He has played in 8 matches so far, recording 1 assist.

Yang Min-hyeok, who is also viewed as a promising player for Korean football, has been included in the South Korean national team roster ahead of the final qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Oman (20th) and Jordan (25th).

The top spot in the NXGN 2025 rankings was claimed by 2007-born Lamine Yamal (18, FC Barcelona). Goal.com stated, "Yamal is one of the great teenage players the world has seen, already attracting global attention as he plays for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team."

Following him in the rankings were Esteban Willian (18, Palmeiras), Pau Cubarsi (18, FC Barcelona), Warren Zaïre-Emery (19, Paris Saint-Germain), and Endrick (19, Real Madrid) in 2nd to 5th places, respectively.

Several Tottenham players are also included. England's Archie Gray (19) and Sweden's Lukas Beribal (19) ranked 13th and 17th, respectively. Youth product Mikey Moore (18) is placed 22nd. Croatian Luka Buskovic (18), who is set to join Tottenham this summer and is currently on loan at KVC Westerlo, was ranked 26th.

Goal.com explained, "This list includes players from 23 different countries. Some already have experience in the senior national teams or have won trophies," revealing the criteria for the NXGN 50 selection.
