KT Wiz will hold a special 2025 season home opening ceremony during the game against Hanwha Eagles at Suwon KT Wiz Park at 2 p.m. on the 22nd.
As a pre-event, a cheerleading performance using an AI cheer song will take place. The AI cheer song production platform enables customized cheer songs to be created and listened to, and the songs created by fans were selected through a contest, and will be produced into a music video to be shown during home games.
At the ceremony, after the opening declaration, the Suwon children's choir will sing the national anthem, and a drone show will be held above Suwon KT Wiz Park. Following that, the 10th unmanned pitch, symbolic of the KT home opening game, will feature a line rocket pitch.
A new Wiz Park will be unveiled, applying KT's AI technology to provide a safer and more convenient viewing environment. An AI electronic display board will be installed in the stadium to provide various AI experience content, thereby strengthening communication with baseball fans as a representative corporation of South Korea's AI industry.
Wiz Park has also been renovated. Artificial turf has been installed in the outfield stands, and the stadium's speakers have been replaced to create a comfortable viewing environment for spectators. The Wiz Terrace, which was temporarily operated in the center of the outfield last season, will operate in a new form throughout the season.
There are also a variety of sights and activities. The team store has been improved for convenience due to expansion work. The 2nd-floor F&B area has been fully remodeled, and famous local stores such as Bon Suwon Galbi and Today's Sushi have been established, creating a Suwon food street. A patch shop where team merchandise can be customized will also make its debut.
