The ace pitcher and main starter for the Doosan Bears, Kwak Bin, has taken to the Futures league stage for a final check. He kept the mound until the 5th inning without allowing a single run.
Kwak Bin started the away game against the Goyang Heroes in the Futures League on the 19th at Goyang Baseball Stadium, recording 5 innings, 1 hit, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts with no runs.
In the 1st inning, Kwak Bin recorded an out against Ajeon-seo, but issued a walk to Lee Joo-hyung, however, he struck out Kim Woong-bin and Lim Byeong-wook, recording a flyout and a strikeout respectively.
In the 2nd inning, Kwak Bin secured his first three-up, three-down inning against Yang Hyeon-jong, Joo Seong-won, and Kim Keon-hee. After two outs in the 3rd inning, he faced a bases-loaded crisis with Ajeon-seo's hit and consecutive walks to Lee Joo-hyung and Kim Woong-bin. He ended the inning by striking out Lim Byeong-wook after 8 pitches.
Kwak Bin silenced Yang Hyeon-jong, Joo Seong-won, and Kim Keon-hee, all with strikeouts in the 4th inning. In the 5th inning, he induced a flyout from leadoff hitter Lee Seung-won and then recorded a groundout and a flyout against Byun Sang-gwon and Ajeon-seo respectively to finish his duties for the day.
