Is it a Futures game?

The Futures League's Samsung Lions and the Sangmu Baseball Team will face each other for the first time this season. Samsung and Sangmu will play their first match of the season at the Mungyeong Baseball Stadium on the 19th.

The Samsung team, led by the '7 billion free agent' right-handed pitcher Choi Won-tae, has arranged the batting order with center fielder Kim Sung-yoon, left fielder Kim Jae-hyeok, third baseman Kim Young-woong, first baseman Lee Chang-yong, designated hitter Yoon Jeong-bin, right fielder Han Su-ho, second baseman Shim Jae-hun, catcher Park Jin-woo, and shortstop Kim Ho-jin.

Samsung manager Park Jin-man noted on the 18th after the game against Hanwha in Daejeon was canceled due to heavy snow, 'I was trying to utilize many of the pitchers who hadn't thrown until now,' expressing disappointment and adding, 'I didn't expect it to snow in March. I was surprised to see the snow falling at night.'

As the final exhibition game against Hanwha on the 18th was canceled, Samsung plans to actively utilize the Futures League games. The Samsung Futures team will have a doubleheader against Sangmu on the 19th and 20th in Mungyeong.

Manager Park Jin-man mentioned, 'It seems we should utilize the pitchers who couldn't throw today in the Futures. The same goes for the position players,' saying that approximately 4 to 5 relief pitchers will go, along with 6 to 7 position players like Kim Young-woong and Lee Chang-yong, who have dropped in practical sense. 'It seems more than 10 will have to play in the Futures from tomorrow.'

Manager Park Jin-man commented about Kim Young-woong, who returned early due to a right rib contusion during the second camp in Okinawa, Japan, 'His physical condition is okay, but he has dropped in practical sense, so I plan to let him play in the Futures games. I need to check his condition at the end, but I think we can prepare for the opening game without issues.'

In response, Sangmu will start left-handed pitcher Koo Chang-mo. Koo signed a maximum 13.2 billion won multi-year non-free agent contract with NC in December 2022.

Sangmu's starting lineup is impressive. They have formed a clean-up trio consisting of key players like Lee Jae-won, Han Dong-hee, and Jeong Eun-won.

The starting lineup includes center fielder Ryu Seung-min, right fielder Park Chan-hyuk, left fielder Lee Jae-won, third baseman Han Dong-hee, second baseman Jeong Eun-won, catcher Yoon Jun-ho, shortstop Kim Jae-sang, designated hitter Ryu Hyun-in, and first baseman Jo Min-seong.
