Lee Ji-ho and Gil Hyo-sung have been selected as the recipients of the Contribution Award for February from Gangwon FC.

Gangwon FC held the award ceremony for the Contribution Award for February during their home match against FC Seoul in the 5th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2025, which took place on the 15th at the Chuncheon Songam Sports Town main stadium. Established last year, the Contribution Award of the month recognizes one 'Unsung Hero' who has quietly contributed to the team's development from both the players and management. The recipients are awarded a trophy and gift certificates.

February's Contribution Award recipient for the player institutional sector, Lee Ji-ho, is a promising forward for Gangwon FC. With his aggressive playing style and strong fighting spirit, he brings vitality to the team. He has participated in all league matches since the season began. In the two matches held in February, he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist, showcasing impressive performance. Notably, on February 23 against Pohang Steelers, he scored his debut goal and another goal to lead the team to victory.

Lee Ji-ho noted, 'It is always an honor to receive an award at Gangwon FC. I will strive to become a player who can receive more awards. I will work well with the seniors and further enhance the team's atmosphere.'

'The Contribution Award of the month' highlights not only the players shining on the field but also the front office staff who dedicate themselves to the club behind the scenes. The recipient of the Contribution Award for February in the front institutional sector is Gil Hyo-sung from the player operations team. As a manager for Gangwon FC's B team, he contributed to creating an environment where young players can grow.

Gil Hyo-sung stated, 'There are many who dedicate themselves more from behind the scenes. This award is thanks to all my colleagues I’ve worked with. I will take this as a message to work harder and will strive to do my best.'
