Queens Park Rangers (QPR) winger Yang Min-hyeok (19) has proudly been included among the top 50 promising teenagers in the world.

Yang Min-hyeok was ranked 43rd on the 'NXGN 2025' list, highlighting the most remarkable young talents born since Jan. 1, 2006, published by the British outlet Goal.com on the 18th (Korean time). NXGN stands for 'next generation.'

The outlet introduced Yang Min-hyeok, who is originally from South Korea, as a right winger. It also reminded readers that he is originally from Tottenham, but is currently playing on loan at QPR (the second division).

It explained that 'the connection between Tottenham and South Korea is well known thanks to Son Heung-min's legendary status,' adding that 'expectations are growing that Yang Min-hyeok, who joined Tottenham last July, will be able to follow in Son Heung-min's footsteps.'

'Tottenham has allowed Yang Min-hyeok to finish 2024 at Gangwon FC, and he arrived in England in December after scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists in a season on the adult stage,' it added. 'At 18 years old, he is on loan at Championship QPR, gaining experience in English football.'

Yang Min-hyeok has recorded 1 assist in 8 matches at QPR. He made his debut on Feb. 2 in an away match that ended in a 1-2 loss against Millwall, and he started for the first time in a home match against Derby County, which ended in a 4-0 victory, where he recorded his first attacking point (1 assist) on Feb. 15.

Due to his performance at QPR, Yang Min-hyeok was included in the national team roster for the final qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup against Oman on the 20th and Jordan on the 25th.

The top spot was taken by Lamine Yamal (18, Barcelona), who was born in 2007. The outlet emphasized that 'is there anything more to say?' regarding Yamal, stating, 'This forward, perhaps the greatest teenage footballer the world has seen, has already become a globally recognized name through his performances at Barcelona and in Spain.'

Following him, Esteban Willian (18, Palmeiras), Pau Cubarci (18, Barcelona), Warren Zaïre-Emery (19) who is a teammate of Lee Kang-in at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Endrick (19, Real Madrid) ranked 2nd to 5th.

Players from Tottenham also stand out. Archy Gray (19), who has already become a regular, and Lucas Berival (19) from Sweden ranked 13th and 17th, respectively, while Mikey Moore (18, Tottenham), who is a product of the youth academy, is at 22nd.

Additionally, Luka Buskovic (18, currently on loan at KVC Westerlo), who signed with Tottenham last summer but is expected to join this summer, is ranked 26th.

Meanwhile, Goal.com revealed that 'this list encompasses all five continents and includes male players from 23 countries. They are already active in adult national teams or have lifted winning trophies,' explaining the criteria for selection for NXGN 50.
