Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp (78) maintained a calm demeanor despite news of head coach Ange Postecoglou's (60) potential dismissal.

Under Postecoglou's leadership, Tottenham is currently in 14th place in the league with 34 points. Winning the league is virtually impossible, and the chances of competing in European tournaments are also bleak. The team has already recorded 15 losses (10 wins, 4 draws) this season, nearing the club's record of most losses in a league season (19) set in 1993-1994.

This season, Tottenham has been eliminated from both the Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) and the Football Association (FA) Cup. Despite facing chaos due to injuries to key players early in the season, the rumors of Postecoglou's dismissal are justified.

The only way for Postecoglou to escape the threat of dismissal now is by winning the UEFA Europa League (UEL).

If Postecoglou leads Tottenham to the Europa League title, staying with the team next season will be a given. At the same time, it would end the club's drought without a trophy since winning the EFL Cup in 2008.

Tottenham will face Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany) in the quarterfinals. They will play the first leg at home on the 11th of next month, followed by the second leg away on the 18th to determine who advances to the semifinals.

Redknapp noted in an interview with 'TalkSPORT' on the 18th that regarding the rumors of Postecoglou's dismissal, "Honestly, I think he needs to win the Europa League."

He added, "When he was appointed last year, I supported Postecoglou. I thought he was the right person for the job and liked what he showed. I believed he would be excellent."

Redknapp said, "However, things did not go well. There were injuries and other reasons, but I must honestly say this season has been terrible. Now, everything rests on winning the Europa League. Still, I believe they can win it."

Even if Tottenham defeats Frankfurt, the road ahead will be tough. They would meet the winner of the match between Bodø/Glimt (Norway) and Lazio (Italy) in the semifinals, and in the final, they would clash with one of Rangers (Scotland), Athletic Bilbao (Spain), Lyon (France), or Manchester United.

This media outlet evaluated that winning the Europa League would be a miracle for Tottenham. While winning could be possible, it cannot overlook the performance or results shown in the league.

If they are eliminated from the Europa League, the likelihood of Postecoglou remaining with Tottenham will vanish. Having already lost 15 matches in the league leaves no room for excuses. Will Postecoglou and Tottenham be able to stay together next season?
