Busan BNK Some is just one win away from securing its first championship in the women's professional basketball finals.

BNK defeated Asan Woori Bank 55-49 in Game 3 of the Hana Bank 2024-2025 season Women's Professional Basketball Championship held at Asan Iksun Gymnasium on the 18th. With this victory, BNK won both away matches in the first and second games, recording a series record of 2 wins and 0 losses, positioning itself to clinch the championship in the third game scheduled for the 20th at Busan Sajik Gymnasium.

The early part of the game was fiercely contested. BNK faced off with Sonia Kim, Hee-jin Park, Hye-ji Ahn, So-hee Lee, and Saki Iijima leading the attack, while Woori Bank relied on Dan-bi Kim to advance through the game. The first half ended with BNK narrowly ahead at 30-29.

In the third quarter, BNK's Saki Iijima scored 7 points, making up for Hee-jin Park's scoreless contributions. Woori Bank maintained the score gap as Natsuki Sunagawa took over the scoring lead in place of Dan-bi Kim.

Early in the fourth quarter, BNK seized the momentum. Iijima extended the lead with consecutive points, while Hye-ji Ahn succeeded with mid-range shots and layups, pushing the score to 47-40. Woori Bank managed to close the gap to 2 points through continuous scoring from Myung-kwan Lee and Dan-bi Kim, but with just over 2 minutes left, Sonia Kim's three-pointer settled the outcome. Following that, So-hee Lee also hit a three, allowing BNK to finish the game.

BNK led the offense with Hye-ji Ahn scoring 16 points, Saki Iijima adding 15 points, and So-hee Lee contributing 11 points. On the other hand, Woori Bank's Natsuki Sunagawa excelled with 17 points, but Dan-bi Kim struggled with shooting due to strong defense, finishing with a field goal percentage of only 20%.

If BNK wins at home on the 20th, it will achieve its first championship title since its founding. Meanwhile, 16 teams that have won both the first and second games in past finals have invariably gone on to win the championship. Attention is focused on whether Woori Bank can successfully mount a comeback.
