Tottenham has raised the possibility of acquiring Juventus striker Doosan Vlahovic (25) at a low price in this summer's transfer market.

The British media outlet 'Football Insider' reported on the 16th (Korean time), 'Juventus plans to sell Vlahovic. Tottenham may pursue the acquisition at a relatively low amount.'

Vlahovic is under contract with Juventus until June 2026, but the likelihood of a contract renewal is low, making a transfer this summer likely. According to 'Football Insider', Tottenham could bring him in for around £25 million (approximately 46.9 billion won). This is significantly less compared to the €80 million (approximately 122.6 billion won) transfer fee when Vlahovic moved from Fiorentina to Juventus in 2022, leading to assessments of it being a 'bargain sale.'

The Serbian-born Vlahovic is a 190 cm tall striker with strong physicality and excellent scoring ability. He gained attention in the 2021-2022 season by scoring 17 goals in 21 matches during the first half of Serie A while at Fiorentina, and he continued to display consistent scoring ability after his transfer to Juventus. He is noted for his powerful left-foot shooting, aerial dominance, and ability to hold his ground at the front.

However, at Juventus, he has not shown the explosive power expected due to tactical issues and the impact of injuries. Nevertheless, he is still regarded as a competitive striker on the European stage.

Tottenham currently lacks a clear striker following the transfer of Harry Kane (Bayern Munich). While Son Heung-min and Richarlison are handling the front line, a striker who can act as a solution is needed.

Therefore, Ange Postecoglou, the Tottenham coach, has made strengthening the forward position a top priority in this summer's transfer market.

Tottenham will need to overcome fierce competition to acquire Vlahovic. 'Football Insider' reported, 'Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Newcastle are also considering acquiring Vlahovic.' These clubs have a higher likelihood of qualifying for European competitions next season, making them potentially more attractive options for Vlahovic than Tottenham.

Currently, Tottenham is in 13th place in the Premier League, making qualification for the Champions League and UEFA Europa League uncertain. Winning the UEFA Europa League this season is their only path forward. If they fail to secure a spot in European competitions, acquiring a striker of Vlahovic's caliber is expected to become even more difficult.

If Tottenham can acquire Vlahovic for a reasonable amount, it could be a significant turning point in securing a reliable starting striker after Harry Kane.
