Kim Min-sun (Uijeongbu City Hall) took third place in the women's 500m at the 2025 International Skating Union (ISU) World Speed Skating Championships.
On the 15th (Korean time), Kim Min-sun crossed the finish line with a time of 37.73 seconds at the women's 500m at the 2025 ISU World Speed Skating Championships held at the Hamar Olympic Hall in Norway, finishing third after Femke Kok of the Netherlands (first, 37.50 seconds) and Yuta Lerdam (second, 37.69 seconds).
Starting in the 12th group alongside Angelika Wojcik of Poland, Kim Min-sun passed the first 100m segment at a target time of 10.39 seconds, finishing in first place, and crossed the finish line in third place among 24 competitors with a time of 37.73 seconds.
Having previously won a silver medal with a second-place finish at the 2024 World Championships, Kim Min-sun again proved her skills by medaling in this competition.
Inahyun Lee (Korea National Sport University), who also competed in the same event, finished the race in 38.12 seconds, placing 8th overall.
In the men's 500m event held the same day, Kim Jun-ho (Gangwon Provincial Government) took 10th place with a time of 34.73 seconds.
Jo Sang-hyuk (Uijeongbu City Hall), who competed alongside him, finished in 12th place with a time of 34.91 seconds, while Kim Tae-yoon (Seoul City Hall) wrapped up the race in 22nd place with a time of 35.53 seconds.
Korean athletes will compete in the women's 1,000m and men's mass start events on the 15th and 16th, aiming to secure additional medals.
