The Korea Professional Football League is publicly recruiting coaches for the "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class" to guide young promising soccer players.

The league has been operating the "K League Futures" project since 2023 to provide children with an environment for enjoying and learning soccer, and the children's soccer class is part of this project.

The "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class" involves retired K League players teaching soccer to children by visiting elementary schools. Children will have the opportunity to learn soccer, and retired players will receive support for their career planning through new job opportunities.

Anyone who is a retired K League player can apply to be a coach for the "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class," with a preference given to those holding a Level 2 professional sports instructor certification. However, individuals who have caused social controversy during their active player career or have been disciplined for crimes, including sexual offenses and child abuse, are excluded from applying. The coaching period for the soccer class will last until November 2025 from the contract date.

To apply, candidates should check the related notice on the K League official website, write a resume (in the specified format), and submit it to the provided email address. Recruitment for coaches will be ongoing, and successful applicants will be notified individually.

This "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class" project is operated with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO), and will be conducted based on teaching materials developed directly by the K League. Classes are expected to take place in elementary school playgrounds and gymnasiums across the country.

Meanwhile, the league operated the "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class" from November 2024 to February this year for about four months. During this period, the soccer class was held approximately 300 times at elementary schools in the metropolitan area, and a total of 5,500 elementary students received education. Instructors included retired K League players such as Kim Soo-beom, Park Min-jun, Park Jun-hee, Lee Yun-pyo, Lee Jun-hee, and Choi Seung-ho.

This year, the league aims to ensure that more children can enjoy soccer through the "K League Futures Children's Soccer Class," as well as to expand the soccer base through various activities, including hosting soccer festivals and providing soccer equipment.
