Professional baseball player Oh Seung-hwan of the Samsung Lions struggled in his first exhibition game appearance.
Oh Seung-hwan took the mound as a relief pitcher in the 2025 KBO League exhibition game against LG on 13th at Daegu Samsung Lions Park, recording 3 hits allowed, 1 walk, and 3 earned runs in 1 inning.
Before the game, manager Park Jin-man noted, "Today, Oh Seung-hwan will pitch." It was his first real game appearance in six months since the regular-season game against Kiwoom on Sept. 22 of last year. Oh Seung-hwan did not pitch in the practice games during the spring camp in Japan.
In the 7th inning, with the score tied 3-3, Oh Seung-hwan received applause from the fans. The lead-off batter Hong Chang-ki was recorded as an out with a fly ball to the third baseman on a breaking ball. Hong Chang-ki, seemingly disappointed, threw his bat to the ground right after his hit.
However, against Shin Min-jae, a fastball thrown inside on the third pitch in a favorable count of two strikes hit him. It was an unfortunate play. He then allowed a single to Austin, putting him in a 1st and 2nd base situation with one out.
