The Korea-Thailand women's volleyball All-Star match has been confirmed to be held for the first time in six years.
The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) noted that it signed a memorandum of understanding (M.O.U) on Nov. 11 at the central conference room of the Hwaseong City Hall with KBS N and the Thailand Volleyball Association for the 2025 Korea-Thailand women's volleyball All-Star Super Match.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials, including Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, KOVO Secretary General Shin Moo-cheol, KBS N Sports Deputy Minister Park Hyun-cheol, and Kiati Phong Ratchataekkaen, Vice President of the Thailand Volleyball Association.
The Korea-Thailand women's volleyball All-Star match has been held alternately in both countries since its inception in Thailand in 2017 until 2019. It was suspended for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in 2020, but this memorandum signing signifies a reunion after six years.
The Super Match is set to divide into Team KOVO Young Star/All-Star and Thailand Young Star/All-Star, and spectators can expect to see familiar faces from the Thailand national team.
Secretary General Shin Moo-cheol expressed his anticipation, saying, “Since it is a Super Match being held for the first time in six years, I am even more excited. I will do my best to ensure that all volleyball fans can enjoy watching.”
The Korea-Thailand women's volleyball All-Star Super Match is scheduled to take place from April 19 to 20 at the Hwaseong Sports Complex.
