Jim Ratcliffe (72), co-owner of Manchester United (ManU), has garnered attention by stating that he has no intention of sacking manager Ruben Amorim (40) prematurely.

On the 11th (Korean time), Ratcliffe expressed confidence in an interview with Britain's BBC, saying, "Honestly, when I see the squad that Amorim has to work with, I think he is doing a really good job."

He went on to praise Amorim, stating, "Amorim is an outstanding young manager. Truly, he is a great coach, and I believe he will be in that position for a long time."

After replacing the sacked Erik Ten Hag this season, Amorim has led ManU in 26 matches. However, the team remains in 14th place in the league with a win rate of less than half. Since coaching the team after the division last November, he has achieved only 10 wins (7 draws, 9 losses).

On the 10th, ManU drew 1-1 against second-place Arsenal at home in the league's 28th round. They scored the opening goal from a free kick by Bruno Fernandes, but were equalized by Declan Rice in the 29th minute of the second half.

However, Ratcliffe noted, "I have started to see what Amorim can create, and I think we saw glimpses of that potential in the game against Arsenal."

"When facing Arsenal, how many of the players on the bench could you recognize? How many of them have worn a ManU first team jersey? We hardly have any squad left," he emphasized, adding, "Now, there are really only about 10 or 11 players left who can properly play in the first team. Amorim is doing a great job."

Additionally, Ratcliffe highlighted the plan to aim for victory in 2028 to mark the club's 150th anniversary, stating, "I do not think it is an impossible task. I believe it is a good thing to have goals and objectives."

"You can see this with Arsenal or Liverpool. When you consider the time it took them to sort themselves out and return to the path of victory, it is probably on the shorter side of the spectrum," he stated, adding, "But it is not impossible."
