Voices are growing that Tottenham should dispose of Richarlison (27). There are even claims that he should be sold for only £5 million (about 9.4 billion won).

British media outlet Tottenham News reported on the 10th (Korea time) that "Tottenham may be looking to sell Richarlison for £5 million. His agent is pushing for a transfer."

According to the report, Daniel Levy, chairman of Tottenham, is in a situation where he may have to endure a loss of £55 million (about 103.2 billion won) due to Richarlison. Tottenham acquired Richarlison from Everton in the summer of 2022, investing £60 million (about 112.5 billion won).

Richarlison had shown outstanding performances in the past at Everton. In the 2021-2022 season, he scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists, helping to prevent the team from being relegated. He joined Tottenham with high expectations, expected to lead the attack while operating between the left and center.

However, contrary to expectations, Richarlison has struggled at Tottenham. In his first season, he scored only 1 goal in the league and often missed matches due to injury. Last season, while he seemed to bounce back with 11 goals, he has been plagued by injuries again and has not been able to secure playing opportunities.

He has appeared in 9 league matches this season, recording 2 goals and 1 assist.

Tottenham also appears to be ready to part ways with Richarlison. Tottenham News noted that "he has not met expectations due to ongoing injuries. Even when he participated in matches, his finishing ability did not meet expectations. Now his time at Tottenham is heading toward an end."

The issue is recovering the transfer fee. If he were to transfer to a Saudi Arabian club, there may be a chance to receive an amount exceeding expectations, but it is reported that Richarlison has declined a move to Saudi Arabia. Realistically, finding a team within Europe willing to pay a high transfer fee for him is difficult.

Reports have also emerged that his former team Everton is showing interest in him. According to Give Me Sport, Everton is considering Richarlison as a replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this season. They plan to make inquiries to Tottenham after the summer transfer window opens.

'TBR Football' also raised the possibility of a reunion between Richarlison and Everton. The media reported that "if Everton wants Richarlison to return, they will pursue the acquisition. He has maintained a good relationship with the fans, and the club still holds him in high regard."

As these reports emerged, the Tottenham fan community Spurs Web expressed hope for sending Richarlison back to Everton and receiving an appropriate transfer fee. However, former Tottenham scout Brian King argues that Richarlison's value is only £5 million to £10 million (about 18.8 billion won).

King stated, "The likelihood that Tottenham will receive more than £5 million for Richarlison is low. Which team would invest a significant amount to bring him in? This is a result of poor transfer policies."

King also added, "Clubs that showed interest in Richarlison last summer did not actually pursue his acquisition. I view the transfer rumors as a story created by Richarlison's agent."

Richarlison's contract with Tottenham currently runs until June 2027. After this season, there will be two years remaining on his contract. With just one year until the contract ends, the transfer fee is likely to decrease further, making this summer a prime opportunity for him to be transferred.

Tottenham News remarked that "Tottenham must move on from the losses incurred due to Richarlison. The club has suffered losses in recent years due to the expensive player acquisitions. Tanguy Ndombele has been released, and Giovani Lo Celso was sold for a pittance."
